Hopewell Rocks

The Bay of Fundy has the world’s biggest tides. Hopewell Rocks is a spectacular place to see this dramatic transformation.

We plan two visits to Hopewell Rocks: at high tide and returning for low tide. High tide is 38 feet and low tide is 8 feet.

Photos below are taken from the same locale at high and low tide.

First stop is Big Cove

Diamond Rock

and Staircase Cove

On our second visit we walk down to the ocean floor. Entering at Staircase Cove to Castle Cove then over to Big Cove. Here are some photos from that walk.

Along the way …..

On our back and forth between Fundy and Hopewell Rocks we take the scenic route and make a few stops.

Germantown Lake Covered Bridge

Built in 1903, this bridge crosses Shebody River.

We are taken aback by the beauty of Long Marsh Creek.

Next stop is Cape Enrage Lighthouse

Cape Enrage is known for turbulent tides

Looking south to Nova Scotia – tomorrow’s stop is Joggins Fossils across The Bay of Fundy. We have enjoyed these last two weeks in New Brunswick.
